The Finance Department is responsible for the sound fiscal management of all Authority assets, and strives to provide an excellent level of service to our commuters, bondholders, and other customers. Our primary purpose is to manage, monitor, and report on the financial position of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority.
The Finance Department issues debt, administers existing obligations, collects toll and other revenues, provides general accounting services, and supports all Authority departments. We prepare, publish, and administer the budget by reviewing and analyzing the Authority’s financial condition and reporting on major revenue sources. The Finance Department also completes the annual independent audit and files the required reports with the State Auditor General’s Office. Major publications of the Finance Department are the Fiscal Year Budget and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
We invite you to review our Annual Reports and the progress MDX is making toward improving mobility for everyone in Miami-Dade County. The future growth of our area is directly linked to the ability to deliver people and goods to their destinations. We look forward to working together to keep Miami-Dade moving.
